Liverpool make approach to sign €40M forward this month

Liverpool have reportedly made an approach to sign Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz although they have been sent packing.

The Reds have been linked with a move to sign the 18-year-old for several months now and it remains clear they will have to wait until the summer to stand a chance of signing him.

This season, he has played as a 'second striker' for the most part and has five goals and one assist. However, Juventus are making it very clear they will not sell him during the January transfer window.

Of course, every player has his price with Yildiz said to be valued at £34 million (€40M) and for a transfer to happen this month, Liverpool would need to blow that figure out of the water.

According to Saturday's print version of Italian newspaper of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leizpig have had approaches to sign the young striker rejected.

Juventus are loathe to sell Yildiz and while there is plenty of interest from overseas clubs, the Serie A outfit would prefer to sell Moise Kean than sell the Turkish prodigy.

Liverpool don't really need attacking reinforcements but in the summer, the club could look to add more talent to their already glittering ranks.
