Liverpool ready to pay over £80M to sign player with "great pace and outstanding power"

Liverpool target Leroy Sane has been praised by Harry Kane after his incredible start to the season.

The Mirror reported in mid-October that Liverpool are ready to pay over £80 million to sign the German international with the Reds said to be prepared to do what it takes to make a deal happen.

Harry Kane himself has been in discussion in relation to Liverpool after Alan Shearer said the Englishman would have exploded at Anfield after his unbelievable.

Now Kane has been doing the talking, suggesting Sane has been Bayern's best player this season.

Speaking to Der Rekordmeister, via Get German Football News, after Bayern's 4-2 win over FC Heidenheim in the Bundesliga, Kane said: “He has great pace and outstanding power.

“Leroy is probably our best player so far this season. He is fantastic.

“Even today, when it was 2-2 [against Heidenheim], I had the feeling that he was the player who would lift us up again. He is such an important player for us with his skills.

"Today he made two assists for me again, which is great. I hope we keep this connection.”

This season, Sane has scored nine goals while providing seven assists for his Bayern Munich teammates. He has already struck up a strong connection with Sane, dovetailing with the former Manchester City star to great effect.

Regarding a move to Anfield, it's one that needs to develop further with the need for a right wing not great yet.

Stories reporting on Liverpool signing Sane have always been dependent on Mohamed Salah being sold to the Saudi Pro League.

However, David Ornstein recently suggested that the Egyptian being sold by Liverpool is not a foregone conclusion.
