Alan Shearer says that Harry Kane would have exploded at Liverpool or any other big club after leaving Spurs in the summer.

As we all know, Harry Kane joined Bayern Munich before the start of the season.

The transfer cost the Bundesliga giants a reported £82 million but they will be laughing their way to the bank if they can turn Kane's goals into trophies.

So far this season, the Englishman has exceed lofty expectations with 21 goals and 7 assists in 16 appearances this season.

That form is sure to make him a candidate for the Ballon d'Or for 2024.

But Alan Shearer thinks he would have hit the ground running like that if he had joined a club like Liverpool.

He was speaking on "The Rest Is Football" podcast but wasn't having suggestions that the Bundesliga is easy for the 30-year-old.

Instead, the Premier League's record top scorer of all time simply thinks Kane is that good he would succeed at any top club.

Shearer said: “People are saying that suddenly his ratio has got better and people will say, yeah, the league is easier. I don’t think it’s that.

“I think the fact is he is now playing in a team that is dominant so he is now doing the numbers he probably would have done if he was playing in a team like Man City or Liverpool.

“What a player he is.”
