"To Liverpool?": Fabrizio Romano provides update on £60M bid allegedly being prepared

Liverpool are seriously interested in signing Crystal Palace forward Michael Olise although he is touted as a replacement for Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian may still stay at Liverpool depending on how contract talks with the club go at the end of the season but Olise is being tracked all the same.

In fact, the Anfield outfit is said to be preparing a summer bid to sign the 22-year-old. Their offer will reportedly be in the region of £50 million to £60 million.

Reporting via streaming platform Kick, Fabrizio Romano says a move to sign Olise will not happen until the summer which should not come as a surprise.

“Olise to Liverpool? Guys, Olise is going nowhere in January. This is the feeling at least today.

“In the summer, it could be different it could be different because he has a release clause.

"So, in that case, the story could be different for Olise.”

Manchester United are said to be willing to offer Aaron Wan Bissaka to Palace as a way to sweeten a deal for Olise while bringing the price down.

He has a release clause but the Eagles can also choose to listen to creative offers. The clause simply gives interested clubs the power to force the London club to sell him.

Liverpool, however, will be a lot more appealing to Olise from an objective point of view. They're able to offer him the chance to actually win silverware or at the very, very least, the chance to challenge for titles.
