Michael Olise sees Anfield move as his “dream”

Liverpool are willing to pay £60 million to sign Michael Olise and the forward would reportedly see signing for the Anfield outfit as "a dream", according to reports.

The magical forward would be a fascinating signing for Jurgen Klopp although he is being touted as a replacement for Mohamed Salah, who remains heavily linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League with one source describing the transfer as a "done deal."

Report: Liverpool ready to agree £60 million fee to sign Michael Olise

Premier League clubs are surrounding Michael Olise in the wake of his eye-grabbing form for Palace.

The winger has five goals and an assist in his last nine games and could leave Selhurst Park despite signing a new contract in the summer after a failed approach from Chelsea.

According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Liverpool are prepared to pay in the region of £52 million to £60 million to pip their Premier League rivals to his signature this month.

There are greater concerns for Klopp to address in defensive and defensive midfield but they could reportedly shelve these issues to agree a deal to sign Olise.

It would represent a major deal for Palace after the new contract they gave Olise included a bumper release clause in addition to higher wages.

His previous contract included a £35 million release clause which was triggered by Chelsea in the summer before Olise opted to stay at Palace.

Now earning £100,000 per week, Olise could fetch as much as £60M with Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea all reportedly interested.

Olise would see Liverpool transfer as "a dream"

Transfer insider Dean Jones claims that Michael Olise would consider a move to Anfield as "a dream" amid claims Liverpool are doing their best to complete a big-money move to sign him this month.

Speaking to Give Me Sport, Jones began: “Jurgen Klopp is about as good as it gets to a guarantee of joining a club and everything staying stable.

"So I think it definitely would be a good fit. I think for him, that level of club would be a dream for sure.

"What I’m interested by is how long he actually feels he needs to remain at Crystal Palace. Because he is still building himself a profile and a personality within this league.

"It’ll be interesting if he thinks he can go and make that step up in the next six months or whether he gives it another full season at Palace next season.”

Olise's personal decision will likely rest on how he can sustain his good form. It's not easy at a club like Palace to remain consistently prolific but if he can manage it, he may feel ready to make the step up to a club like Liverpool.

Still only 22, there's no rush to join one of the big teams. It's blatantly clear he has all the quality needed. All that he has to do is ensure he finishes this season with a higher tally than the two goals and 11 assists he managed last term.

So far, Olise seems to find the creative side of football easier to come by compared to the goalscoring aspect that Salah has proven to be one of the very best at.

Time will tell if he is indeed an heir to the Egyptian King.
