Insider claims Mohamed Salah to Saudi Pro League is a "done deal"

Mohamed Salah moving to the Saudi Pro League in the summer is a "done deal" one report claims.

The Egyptian's future at Anfield has been the constant subject of speculation over the last couple of years and in the summer, a £150 million bid from Al-Hilal was rejected.

Despite that, the story won't go away. Recent reports on Salah's future have been in conflict with some suggesting he is open to signing a new Liverpool contract but reportedly, his transfer to Saudi Arabia is already confirmed.

Mohamed Salah transfer to the Saudi Pro League is a "done deal"

According to Wayne Veysey, speaking on The Inside Track podcast, Liverpool will sell Mohamed Salah in the summer transfer window with a move to the Saudi Pro League all but guaranteed.

He was discussing Liverpool's interest in Michael Olise and how the Crystal Palace forward is being considered to fill the "massive hole" that Salah will leave in Jurgen Klopp's side when he leaves.

He said: "Salah to Saudi is a done deal and there's nothing that I've heard that is any different to that. I think that is more likely than not.

"He will go to Saudi and Liverpool have a monumental job replacing him. I think the futures of Gakpo and Luis Diaz will be up in the air going into the summer - their outputs are pretty poor. They're not nailed on for Liverpool long term.

"I actually believe Darwin Nunez is and he offers something completely different notwithstanding an inability to score from within the penalty box. But, he is a special talent, getting better."

Could Michael Olise be the replacement for Mohamed Salah if he moves to Saudi Arabia?

While some of what Veysey said is based on his opinion, his sources believe that Salah will leave in the summer and if so, Liverpool have an incredibly job on their hands replacing him.

Is Olise his heir? I don't think so. That's not to say he isn't a fine player but Liverpool's tactics depend very heavily on pace from wide areas to destroy teams in transition.

While Olise is a wonderful technician, has excellent technique in his crossing and passing and offers a serious threat from set-pieces, he just doesn't come across as a typical Jurgen Klopp winger.

Liverpool have been linked with the likes of Leroy Sane, who would be a far more suitable option to replace Salah if he does leave in the next seven months.

He's Premier League proven, Champions League proven and has all the characteristics that you would expect from a wide player in Klopp's system and is more prolific than every other forward at Liverpool bar Salah.
