Talk of a €92m monster bid from Liverpool answered concisely by club chief

Liverpool will struggle to convince Bayer Leverkusen to sell Florian Wirtz even if they submit a massive bid.

The Reds are still working on plans to add more quality to their midfield despite reports that Andre is no longer on the club's radar following a report on Wednesday.

A report from the Daily Star last week stated that Liverpool want Wirtz but even if they submit a £80 million (€92m) offer, Leverkusen are likely to reject it.

Simon Rolfes, the German club's managing director of sport, has swiftly moved to put this story to bed.

Kicker quotes the club chief as saying: “No, no one has approached us, and no one needs that.”

By this, he means that nobody at Leverkusen wants to sell the 20-year-old and it's quite obvious why.

The attacking midfielder is expected to be one of the best players in the world very soon.

He already has six goals and nine assists this season in 15 games for the Bundesliga club. Wirtz is proving how quickly he can learn and develop his game as evidenced by the fact he has already overtaken the 12 goals and assists he managed in 25 games last season.
