Sources: Man Utd make bigger offer to poach Liverpool deal that is 99% complete

Liverpool have all but secured a deal to sign Fatawu Issahaku but sources close to Anfield Central are 'worried' that Manchester United can still poach the deal.

The Reds will send the Ghanaian to Sporting Lisbon on loan for as long as it takes for him to secure a UK work permit after they reached an agreement with Steadfast FC to sign the 17-year-old for a fee in the region of £1.5 million.

That said, Liverpool are unhappy with the player’s agent and have told him that he will not move to Merseyside until he has changed his representation which gives him at least a year to do so.

United offered to help him find new representation. They recommended Promoesport and Triple S Sports Entertainment as two they've enjoyed working with.

Eric Bailly and Adama Traore are represented by the former while the latter represents both Harry Maguire and 22-year-old James Garner.

They have now offered a larger financial package to Issahaku which includes all expenses until he secures a work permit. With a response yet to be issued, sources close to Anfield Central are told that Liverpool are worried that their deal for Issahaku could be poached at the 11th hour.

Assuming that doesn't happen, the next year will hopefully bring significant development for a player with a bright future. Issahaku is one of the most exciting teenagers in the world and was named Player of the Tournament at the 2021 U20 Africa Cup of Nations, representing Ghana.
