Huge player is obsessed with Liverpool, his agent’s been talking to Reds about summer transfer

Liverpool's transfer buzz is heating up with the imminent arrival of Arne Slot, set to take over from Jurgen Klopp this summer.

Among the many players linked to the Reds, one name stands out for his deep-rooted obsession with the club: Feyenoord's David Hancko, a player who has been crazy about Liverpool since he was a child.

The Feyenoord man is seemingly obsessed with the Reds and with his manager, Slot, set to become the new Liverpool manager, he is linked with a move to follow him to Merseyside.

De Telegraaf now reports that Hancko has been a massive Liverpool fan since childhood as speculation over a move to Anfield builds.

Earlier this year, his agent, Branislav Jašurek, told Czech outlet TN.cz that he was in talks with Liverpool.

He confirmed Liverpool's interest and talks, saying: “As an agency, we are in contact not only with these two clubs, but also with others who are looking into Dávid’s situation.

"I estimate that 80-90% David will stay in Rotterdam, because Feyenoord is fighting for the Champions League and the people at Feyenoord know that David Hancko will be sold even in the summer and maybe better than now.”

David Hancko would be a brilliant replacement for Matip

He might not be as tall as Matip but Hancko is huge. He looks a lot bigger than his actual 1.88m (6 ft 2) height.

But he's also technically fantastic and would more than be up for the Premier League's physicality. He'd embrace it, I dare say.

A lot will depend on how Slot's vision complements Liverpool's but Slot is a very possible first signing for the incoming Dutch manager.
