Exclusive: Liverpool issue ultimatum to player amid agent drama

Liverpool have issued an ultimatium to 17-year-old Fatawu Issahaku over his agents, according to sources close to Anfield Central.

The Ghanaian was close to a move to Bayer Leverkusen and had also been in talks with Borussia Dortmund but both teams passed up on signing him due to concerns over his agents.

What’s more, FIFA have handed warnings to his agents and now with Liverpool prepared to walk away from a deal to sign him and send him out on loan in Europe, the Reds have handed him an ultimatum.

Sources close to Anfield Central suggest that the club has told Issahaku that unless he gets new representation, they won’t proceed with a deal to sign the 2021 U20 AFCON Player of the Tournament.

It would be a pity to see such talent wasted and exploited by money and power-hungry agents and unfortunately, it wouldn’t be the first time a young player has been used by adults with no benefit to the player.
