FSG add £100,000/week star to list of priority player contract talks

Liverpool are going through a period of turbulence but despite the chaos at the club amid Jurgen Klopp's impending summer exit, FSG are working hard to ensure its future is as successful as possible.

Xabi Alonso remains the favourite to replace Klopp at the end of the season but player contracts are also a huge priority.

Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander Arnold and Virgil van Dijk are all due for contract talks when the season ends. All three are out of contract at the end of the next season - the 2024/25 campaign.

Amid interest from Bayern Munich, Liverpool have added Andy Robertson to the list of priority contract talks.

What's the latest on Andy Robertson's contract and Liverpool future?

Bayern Munich are targeting a move for Andy Robertson with Alphonso Davies set to move to Real Madrid in 2024 or 2025 after reaching an agreement with the La Liga giants.

However, despite interest from the Bundesliga outfit, Liverpool seem likely to extend Robertson's contract beyond its current expiration date of 30 June 2026.

Data from Capology suggests the Scotsman currently earns £100,000 per week and given his success at Anfield and his importance to this Liverpool team, an increase and extension would be more than warranted.

According to Football Insider, Liverpool will offer Robertson a new long-term deal. The Reds are already "hopeful of" reaching an agreement with Salah, van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold when talks take place in the summer.

Another important player to renew is Ibrahima Konate after the Frenchman declared his desire to stay at Anfield for a long time last week.
