LIverpool target Alphonso Davies reaches agreement with Real Madrid as Bayern Munich target Andy Robertson

Liverpool's transfer fears have been realised with the news that Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies has reached a verbal agreement to join Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.

In November, 90 Min reported that Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City all wanted to sign Davies but were worried that he would sign for Real Madrid.

It appears as though it was with good reason.

Alphonso Davies' potential move to Real Madrid has developed further with a verbal agreement reportedly in place for the Bayern Munich left-back to join the La Liga club in either 2024 or 2025, according to the Athletic.

This strategic move was orchestrated by Real Madrid's chief scout Juni Calafat and director general Jose Angel Sanchez, who have maintained contact with Davies' representatives.

They have been advising him against renewing his contract with Bayern, which is due to expire in 2025, to facilitate his transition to Real Madrid.

Bayern Munich reportedly want to sign Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson to replace Alphonso Davies

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool fullback Andy Robertson tops Bayern Munich's shortlist of targets to replace Davies when he completes his move to La Liga in the near future.

Despite the challenge of luring Robertson away from Liverpool, where he's been a key player since his £8 million move from Hull City in 2017, Bayern are keen on bringing in a top-quality left-back.

Robertson has over 280 appearances for Liverpool and has been instrumental in the club's recent successes under manager Jurgen Klopp. With two years left on his contract, and with Klopp's future departure potentially affecting player decisions, Bayern sees this summer as an opportune moment to approach Robertson.

The Scottish international's leadership and performance, including a solid outing in Liverpool's recent Carabao Cup final victory over Chelsea, underscore his ability to compete at the top level.
