Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has taken a careful and strategic approach regarding the club's search for a new manager, amidst the backdrop of Thomas Tuchel's impending departure at the end of the season.

Dreesen, in his comments, has adeptly avoided fueling the speculation surrounding Bayern Munich's interest in Alonso, despite acknowledging the Bavarian club's proactive steps towards securing a new manager.

Speaking on ZDF’s Aktuellen Sportstudio (via Fussball Transfers) when asked about Alonso: “Speculation is of no use now.

"We have to look at every good coach and then hopefully find the best one for us that we can get in the summer.”

Dreesen's comments highlight the competitive nature of top-tier European football, where clubs like Bayern Munich and Liverpool vie for the services of renowned figures like Alonso.

Liverpool have reportedly held positive talks with Alonso with the Spaniard said to favour a move to Anfield as FSG work to appoint a successor to Jurgen Klopp.

After nine years and eight trophies, the German coach will leave the club having completely transformed it on and off the pitch.
