Liverpool prepared to agree sale worth £20M

Liverpool are blessed to have two of the best goalkeeper in the Premier League but that is now an issue that 25-year-old Caoimhín Kelleher cannot ignore.

The Irishman has been urged to leave the Reds in order to develop and get into a side where he can play regular game time.

His opportunities have been limited to the domestic cups which he has helped win.

Of course, this is with good reason.

Alisson Becker, in the opinion of many, is the best goalkeeper on the planet and so even Kelleher will agree that he should start.

From a personal standpoint, however, he simply has to leave Liverpool.

Especially given that he would start for most Premier League sides, including some of the biggest ones.

Now, it's reported that Liverpool are ready to sanction his sale for which they could receive a tidy sum.

His contract only expires on 30 June 2026 and so Liverpool will not be bullied by their domestic counterparts during summer transfer talks.

They will not let him leave during the January transfer window but will grant him permission to hold talks with interested parties before a potential sale will be made at around the £20 million mark, according to the Daily Mail.

Considering his talent, they could get more but his lack of game time and desire to leave will count against them.

Jurgen Klopp has reportedly "identified" Sunderland goalkeeper Anthony Patterson as a potential target to replace Kelleher with.
