Jordan Henderson is linked with a return to the Premier League and while the 33-year-old will not re-sign for Liverpool, he could join Juventus.

Multiple English sides are said to be "ready to sign" the English international as he seeks to leave the Saudi Pro League just six months after his transfer exit from Anfield.

It's an indictment on the league as several high profile players that made the move, including Roberto Firmino and Fabinho, look to return to playing in Europe.

Jordan Henderson could join Juventus as Saudi Pro League exit draws near

According to Italian transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio, talks have been held between Henderson and Juventus.

Di Marzio reports: “Massimiliano Allegri’s side have held talks with Henderson over a short-term loan deal for the second half of the campaign.

“However, the 33-year-old, who is keen on returning to Europe is seeking an 18-month deal.”

It would be great to see Henderson return to Europe as many supporters don't actively watch Saudi Pro League games.

The former Liverpool skipper would be a good addition to a Juventus side locked in a Serie A title race with Inter Milan.

His passing and positional awareness would help add more balance and composure to the Juve midfield but until a transfer is confirmed, Henderson will be keeping his options open.

Aside from Premier League sides, Napoli and Bayern Munich have also expressed an interest although the latter has just signed Eric Dier which may put an end to their interest.
