Club and player are practically begging Liverpool to agree €45 million transfer

Liverpool pulled out of a deal to sign Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder, Manu Kone, in the summer after he suffered an injury.

Now, Sky Sports Germany reports that both Kone and Gladbach want to facilitate a transfer with both willing to make it happen in January. Sky Germany bases their report on information from Sport Bild and the Rheinische Post

In spite of his contract being extended until 2026 due to a clause in Kone's contract, the 22-year-old wants to leave the club "by the summer at the latest."

The Bundesliga outfit wants "a transfer fee of between €40m and €45m. They would even consider a loan and while "numerous" club are said to be interested, Liverpool and Bayern are no longer interest.

Which midfielder does Jurgen Klopp want to sign in January?

While Klopp has no plans to sign Kone despite interest in the summer, it seems likely that Liverpool will proceed with their interest in Andre.

andre fluminense

Fabrizio Romano reports that Andre "could have a chance" to leave Fluminense in January with Liverpool one of the sides making moves to sign him.

Arsenal are also interested with their sporting director reportedly visiting Fluminense recently.

The Reds want to invest in their squad further after signing four midfielders in the summer.

A defensive midfielder is still needed with Alexis Mac Allister being played out of position to accommodate the lack of a no.6 at Anfield.
