Liverpool are seriously interested in signing Andre in January but are facing new interest from Arsenal.

Reports from Football London suggest Edu visited several Brazilian clubs during his trip back to his homeland, with Fluminense, the home of 22-year-old Andre, certain to be one of them.

This latest development comes amid weekend reports hinting at Arsenal's interest in launching a bid to sign the coveted young player.

According to journalist Thiago Ferreira, "Arsenal are interested" in signing the no.6 but will face competition from Liverpool, who had several bids rejected in the summer.

Andre, who is rapidly carving a name for himself in Brazilian football, is expected to end his stay at Fluminense in the fast-approaching January transfer window.

With the Brazilian Serie A concluding in mid-December, he is likely to be on the move.

The Reds have noted signing the young Brazilian as their primary objective for the January transfer window. Rumours suggest a timeline has been established for their next bid within this year, revealing the Merseyside club's earnest desire to secure Andre.
