Report: Liverpool want €30million no.8 that has commercial agreement with Nike

Liverpool are reportedly considering a move to sign 21-year-old Aurelien Tchouameni from AS Monaco, according to Corriere Dello Sport.

Liverpool supporters are still yet to see another player join the club this summer after they paid £36million to sign Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig.

Ideally, FSG will still sanction the arrival of a central midfielder to replace Georginio Wijnaldum as well as a striker to challenge Roberto Firmino.

The Reds have three weeks left to make new signings and have been linked with a player they haven't been before.

Liverpool linked with Aurelien Tchouameni

According to Corriere Dello Sport, the Reds are now looking at France's up and coming midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni from AS Monaco.

Juventus are reportedly interested in the 21-year-old but 'even Liverpool are considering whether to invest in this guy that shows depth and personality."

It's clear the Reds want the player as Monaco's no.8 is a thrilling talent and they're in the market for a central midfielder.

The Ligue 1 outfit is demanding €30million in order to sell him this summer and with a contract until 2024, they can demand that sort of fee even for a 21-year-old.

He's got a commercial partnership with Nike and while I'm not sure that gives Liverpool a better chance of signing him, given the Reds recent deal with the American brand it could be beneficial.

Is Tchouameni a good fit for Liverpool?

Yes - oh, yes. The young midfielder still needs to grow as a player before he is ready to be a starter for the Reds and I'm not sure he's quite ready to move to Anfield but when he is, he'd be a top player under Klopp.

He's six feet tall and is very tall but that doesn't stop him from gliding across the pitch but don't compare him to Paul Pogba - he's not a trickster.

Tchouameni keeps his game simple and that's where he would become a major success in the Premier League.

His game is based on winning the ball before driving forward or playing it to one of his teammates.

Where some players move from Ligue 1 to England and fail to adjust to the speed of the game, he wouldn't battle to acclimatise due to his preference for two to three touch football.
