Journalist on Liverpool's Salah injury hopes: "I just have a feeling Salah will make it"

| by Michael Mongie

Jurgen Klopp is considering making up to five changes, the Echo reports, and while they are unsure if Mohamed Salah will be one of of the players to line up at Wembley on Sunday, one journalist has a feeling the Egyptian will be in the team to face Chelsea.

Salah had just returned from a hamstring injury he sustained while at AFCON with Egypt when he ruled out again.

He is now at risk of missing the Carabao Cup final this weekend but Daily Mail journalist Dominic King says he has a "feeling" Salah will be fit and ready for the game.

Speaking on the It's All Kicking Off podcast, King predicts that Salah will make the starting XI to face Chelsea at Wembley but is unsure if Darwin Nunez will.

He said: "I think Salah will make it. I just have a feeling Salah will make it.

"I’m not sure about Nunez.”

If Salah and Nunez start, Liverpool win the Carabao Cup

Of course, that's hardly an injury update. Rather just King's gut feeling ahead of the big game this weekend.

But, if Klopp is able to get Salah and Nunez on the pitch, Liverpool will win the Carabao Cup. Chelsea remain a hugely inconsistent team while Jurgen Klopp has the Reds flying.

The German currently seems capable of getting any starting XI he is tasked to manage over the line to another win at the moment.

If Salah and Nunez are on the pitch, however, the chances of the Reds winning the game in regulation time increases dramatically.

Combined, the two attackers have 53 goals and assists this season and my money would be on them finding the back of the net if they can somehow be fit in time for kickoff.
