Mohamed Salah Close To Accepting “Million Dollar" Offer From The Saudi Pro League

Last week it was reported that Mohamed Salah will certainly leave Anfield to move to the Saudi Pro League. A report from Football Insider stated that the transfer is a formality now, labelling it as a "done deal."

But it was also reported that he remains open to the idea of extending his contract with Liverpool. His £350,000 per week contract expires in mid-2025 but it's now being suggested by Fichajes that he is close to accepting "accepting a million-dollar offer from the Saudi Pro League."

The same report alludes to Kylian Mbappe being the man to take his seat on the Liverpool throne. The far likelier scenario, of course, is that Salah signs a new contract and Mbappe moves to Real Madrid.

Mbappe does happen to be the one winger in Europe of guaranteeing the output Salah has achieved since moving to Merseyside in 2017. Since the start of the 2022/23 season, the French international has tallied 66 goals and 13 assists for PSG.

Salah, however, remains an irreplaceable player given the bond supporters have with him. His time at Liverpool will forever be remembered as the club's return to the European big leagues.

Having both would Mbappe and Salah would be nice.
