Fabrizio Romano says player on “Jurgen Klopp’s list” is “worth more than €100m”

Liverpool are interested in signing Bayern Munich prodigy, Jamal Musiala, with several outlets reporting on Jurgen Klopp's interest.

His 16 goals and 16 assists have clubs all over Europe interested and Liverpool are no exception to the rule in this case.

The attacking midfielder has reportedly been on Liverpool's "list for a long time" and with fans beginning to grow excited at the mere thought of this transfer, Fabrizio Romano has provided his own update.

Jamal Musiala is a thrilling player and as you would expect, he is a player that is in high demand.

Fabrizio Romano reports that the Reds are by no means the only player harbouring hopes of acquiring the 20-year-old's services.

Reporting in his Daily Briefing, the Italian journalist states: "

“Liverpool have been linked with Musiala, but trust me it would not just be Liverpool," Romano declared in his Daily Briefing on Substack.

The journalist continued: "There are many important clubs around Europe keeping an eye on Musiala.

“Jurgen Klopp knows the player’s talent very well, but also people at Chelsea, Manchester City, and clubs in Spain, because he’s one of the best young talents in world football. So this is normal, it’s not about negotiating, it’s just about following a top young player."

Liverpool interest in Musiala seems genuine

Based on the number of reports from widespread outlets, it seems likely that there is genuine interest from Liverpool.

If this is the case, Musiala is one of the most exciting targets linked with the Reds recently.

Arguably, Jude Bellingham is the only target that has been as exciting and while he didn't join the Reds, Musiala could be the next Bundesliga prodigy that Jurgen Klopp brings to Anfield.

The German manager has signed the likes of Naby Keita and Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig in the past, signing Dominik Szoboszla from the RB outfit as recently as this summer along with Wataru Endo from Stuttgart.

Musiala is already a very experienced player compared to others in his age bracket. Not only has he made 133 appearances for Bayern but he also has 32 goals and assists at the age of 20.

If Liverpool are seriously interested, they will have to spend over €100 million, Romano claims. It's his opinion but given the way the transfer market has seen prices bloated in recent widnows, it's a fair estimate.

He said: “In my personal opinion, he’s worth more than €100m; I’d compare him to Jude Bellingham – a generational talent.

So of course Bayern absolutely plan to extend Musiala’s contract with an important proposal, and they will try also with Leroy Sane and Alphonso Davies. It’s complicated, but still on.”
