Liverpool make contact with player's family; can sign pro contract in March 2024

Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City have made "overtures" to the family of 15-year-old rising star Francesco Camarda as the battle for his signature begins.

AC Milan are facing an uphill battle to keep ahold of the youngster, according to 90Min, who report that interest in the forward is coming from around Europe.

In addition to Premier League interest, Real Madrid, PSG and Borussia Dortmund are also keen on poaching him.

When Camarda entered play in the 83rd minute on Saturday, he became the youngest player to make his debut in Serie A history. As he helped his side hold onto a 1-0 lead, Europe sat up and took notice.

The striker will only be eligible to sign a professional contract in March 2024 when he turns 16 which adds a sense of urgency to Milan's hopes of retaining his services.

So, in spite of Milan promising him a "huge role in their future", they are at risk of losing him to a bigger, more financially powerful club until they can secure his future with a formal, written contract.

He and his family are reportedly "settled in Milan" and it is likely he will sign a deal with Milan despite concerns of seeing the likes of Liverpool swoop in to sign him.

Speaking before Camarda made his debut, Milan head coach Stefano Pioli sang his praises and set the stage for his historical first game in Italian football.

Pioli said: "Talent has no age, and he has a lot of it.

"Destiny sometimes creates opportunities for you, we will need to be good at accompanying him in his growth because we are talking about a very young boy.

"From a character point of view Camarda is very mature, he is ready to give us a hand if needed, in these days he has done very well. I'm sure he'll have a great future."
