“If he signs for Liverpool": Transfer target Joao Palhinha on Ruben Amorim replacing Klopp

Former sporting Lisbon midfielder Joao Palhinha has recently weighed in on the swirling rumours linking his ex-coach, Ruben Amorim, with the high-profile job of replacing Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

Amidst increasing speculation, Palhinha's endorsement could be seen as a ringing endorsement for Amorim's readiness to take on such a prestigious role.

The now Fulham midfielder said: “If he signs for Liverpool, I have no doubt that people will like his personality. I believe he is a great option to replace Klopp.

“He's used to dealing with pressure."

Amorim, who made significant strides with Sporting, propelling them into competitive contention both domestically and in Europe, has been consistently linked with Liverpool as the club looks towards a future beyond Klopp.

The 39-year-old certainly seems like he could be the man for the job with the latest reports suggesting he's the only coach on Liverpool's radar at the minute.

This is not certain as there have been many mixed reports but the overwhelming consensus is that he is likely to be offered the job by FSG after Xabi Alonso removed himself from consideration for the post.
