Trent Alexander-Arnold given huge contract offer

Trent Alexander-Arnold has yet to agree to a new deal with Liverpool but he is also yet to confirm whether he is getting ready to leave Anfield at the end of the season for the greener pastures of Real Madrid.

Alexander-Arnold, 26, is at the peak of his career and losing a Liverpool-born red on a free transfer at the end of the season would be a PR disaster for the Merseyside giants.

Real Madrid have been in regular contact with the player and his representatives and will make a formal contract offer in January when he will be free to discuss a move for next summer with clubs outside England.

Liverpool are yet to give up and a fresh round of talks is scheduled between the Reds and the player’s agents during the international break to discuss the new contract.

The Merseyside giants are pulling all the stops to make sure that they hold on to the defender who is likely to be the next captain at Anfield if he stays.

Liverpool are tugging at his heartstrings and the love he has for the club but they are also making a compelling financial case for him to stay.

Massive offer on the table for Trent Alexander-Arnold

Real Madrid have offered him a mega-deal and he would be due a massive singing-on fee if he joins the Spanish giants on a free transfer next summer.

However, Liverpool are ready to pay the big bucks as well and are prepared to make a financial case for him to continue at Anfield.

According to TBR Football, the Merseyside giants are prepared to make him the highest-paid player in the team alongside Mohamed Salah.

If he agrees to sign a new deal at Liverpool he would be become the highest-paid England player in the Premier League.

The Merseyside giants are keen to make it clear to Alexander-Arnold how much they value him in order to convince the player to stay put at Anfield.

Alexander-Arnold has not made a decision yet but Liverpool are ensuring that they put the best foot forward to try and keep him on Merseyside.
