Report: LFC will finally sell 24-year-old when EURO 2020 finishes with six clubs interested

Goal's Neil Jones reports that Liverpool will finally sell Harry Wilson when Wales' EURO 2020 campaign ends after several years on the Anfield fringes.

The Welshman has come off the bench for Wales twice this summer and with his nation through to the knockout stages of the tournament, Liverpool will be hoping for a magical moment to use as a bargaining tool.

He is set to leave the club this summer after failing to force his way into contention under Jurgen Klopp since the German arrived as manager in 2016.

What does this summer hold for Wilson?

Aside from the slim chance of an unexpected run into the latter stages of EURO 2020, the 24-year-old will likely seal a permanent move to a new club this summer, with Neil Jones reporting for Goal that his time is up at Liverpool.

He writes: "Harry Wilson is likely to be sold after Euro 2020, with at least six clubs at home and abroad keen on the 23-year-old winger.

"Wilson has spent the last three-and-a-half seasons on loan, with Hull, Derby, Cardiff City and Bournemouth, and is now keen to secure a permanent transfer."

Marko Grujic, Sheyi Ojo, Loris Karius, Ben Woodburn and Taiwo Awoniyi will all be sold if the right offers are received while 'decisions will be made' on the likes of Divock Origi, Takumi Minamino, Xherdan Shaqiri, Ben Davies and Nat Phillips.

Summer sales will be important for incomings

Unlike the Manchester clubs and Chelsea, Liverpool depend on summer sales to fund moves for new players and this summer will be no different as the Reds assess the market until they receive cash from player sales.

Liverpool used their income from qualifying for the Champions League to fund a move for Ibrahima Konate but their next moves in the market will likely come later in the window as they stall until they have a full understanding of their financial position.

A new midfielder and a new attacker are badly needed while I've said before that Liverpool would be making a huge mistake going into the 2021/22 Premier League season without natural cover for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
