Liverpool want to sign Ousmane Diomande

In addition to Goncalo Inacio, Liverpool are interested in his teammate, Ousmane Diomande, as their search for a suitable centre-back signing continues.

The January transfer window has arrived and with it the excitement and curiosity of supporters hoping Jurgen Klopp can add more quality and depth to his squad.

The German has reached the halfway point of the 2023/24 season with his side in a good position to lift at least one trophy by the time ends in May.

According to the Mail on Sunday, Liverpool are interested in signing Côte d'Ivoire defender Ousmane Diomande.

Joel Matip was only going to be replaced at the end of the season but after suffering an ACL rupture, plans to sign his successor are being fast-tracked.

Since signing for Sporting last January, Diomande has been brilliant and his displays have not gone unnoticed. Goal reports that his contract, which only expires in 2027, includes a £69.4 million release clause which makes signing him quite unrealistic in my opinion.

If the Portuguese side is willing to negotiate a lower fee then he may be a player that Liverpool can consider but at that price point, Klopp could do a lot better.
