Hull City have already expressed interest in signing Liverpool's Fabio Carvalho this summer, but a permanent deal seems unlikely at this stage.

Lauded by Jurgen Klopp as an "unbelievable" player, the 21-year-old could still stay at Anfield beyond his Hull City loan spell this season.

The attacking midfielder had a challenging first half of the season at RB Leipzig following his move to Germany in the summer, prompting Liverpool to recall him in January and send him on loan to Hull for the remainder of the season.

Since joining the Tigers, Carvalho has been exceptional, scoring eight goals in his last 11 Championship appearances.

His impressive form has boosted his reputation and has Hull hoping to make the move permanent at the end of the season.

However, The Athletic reports that Carvalho is unlikely to consider a permanent move to the Championship, which could be a setback for Hull's aspirations.

They have told Liverpool of their desire to make permanent Carvalho's loan spell but with a new manager coming to Anfield, the talented star will have another chance to make it as a Liverpool player.

Hull's chances of securing Carvalho may depend on their ability to secure promotion.

Currently, they are six points away from the playoff spots, with a game in hand on Norwich.

However, their inferior goal difference could be a significant hurdle.

Given this, Hull's hopes of signing Carvalho hinge on more than just ambition; they will need to close the gap in the final stretch of the season.

One thing is clear. Hull are desperate to see him stay at the club.

Recently, Hull chairman Tan Kesler wasted zero words expressing his admiration for Carvalho.

“In this business, how fast you get information is key,” Kesler told iNews.

“We monitor the German market closely and getting that information first gave us a competitive advantage but convincing players like Fabio isn’t easy.

“Even his agent, who is a great friend of ours, was shocked at our approach for him.

“He said: ‘Can you afford him?’ I said it’s not a matter of affording him, we want him so much we’re going to clear the budget for him.”
