Former Premier League and Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero has fired a warning to Erling Haaland following City’s loss to Liverpool. The Norwegian was pocketed by the Dutchman.
Aguero, now retired following the advice of doctors, has become a fan favourite post-retirement as an unofficial pundit.
He has taken to streaming and has become quite popular for his up-to-date insight and comments on the Premier League.
In recent days, he’s fired a warning to Haaland to warn him that the defenders in the PL are different to the ones he had so much success against in Germany.
During his time for Borussia Dortmund, the 6 foot 4 striker scored 135 goals and assisted 35 but he will need to be at his very best to match that in the Premier League.

Aguero’s warning to Haaland as Man City title credentials are tested
The Reds got one over the Sky Blues in the Charity Shield in an early comparison of title credentials ahead of the start of the Premier League.
We could be in for an epic season in the title race as the two sides transform after the departures of Sadio Mane, Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus.
Jurgen Klopp signed Darwin Nunez while Pep Guardiola recruited Erling Haaland and welcomed Julian Alvarez.
From one City forward to another, Aguero knows a thing or two about the PL and he’s warned their new star man that this league is way tougher than the Bundesliga.
Haaland started the Community Shield final but was underwhelming on the day which was topped off by a sitter missed late on.
However, fans were intrigued by the battle between him and Virgil van Dijk – as the potential best striker in the league faced off against the best centre-half.
A battle that Aguero claimed will leave a longing impression on the forward.
He said: “He was too used to Germany, he thought he was alone, then Virgil van Dijk arrived and said ‘welcome to the Premier League.”

Aguero knows a thing or two about the PL – after all, he’s the highest-scoring overseas player and has the second-best goals-per-game ratio in the PL behind Thierry Henry.
He also called Van Dijk his toughest test back in 2020: “He’s strong, tall, athletic. He maybe doesn’t look that fast, but he gets to everything with those long legs. Two steps from him are the same as fifty for me.”
Van Dijk started slow last season after returning from an ACL rupture but he looks to be back to his imperious best.
This season could be iconic in the Dutchman’s legacy if Liverpool win either the Premier League or the Champions League. He has several years left at the top and if he wants to join the all-time greats, he must continue adding to his trophy cabinet.
