Liverpool have been urged to keep Roberto Firmino by a former Reds’ player.
The £180k-a-week star has been at Liverpool since 2015 and has won every trophy available to him at club level.
However, now at 31, he faces stiff competition with Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota for the central forward role.
Despite that, he offers experience and quality as a back-up forward and Liverpool should resist the interest that has come in from Juventus.

Latest reports on Firmino
The Brazilian has a year remaining on his current deal at Anfield and has been linked with a move away in recent weeks.
Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport reported last week that Juventus were ‘very close’ to signing the forward, with the Serie A side making an offer of £19 million.
However, Jurgen Klopp and Firmino have spoken out about the proposed move and made Liverpool fans happy by dismissing them entirely.
Klopp described him as the ‘life and soul’ of the team whilst Firmino himself claimed he wanted to stay last week.
Roberto Firmino confirms he has no intention to leave: “I love this team, city and fans. I'm here at Liverpool and I want to stay”, tells TNT Brazil. 🔴🇧🇷 #LFC

The former Liverpool left-back Jose Enrique revealed his thoughts on social media and that he should stay amid interest.
The former left-back tweeted: “I hope we renew his contract because he still has a lot to give to the team and players that really want to stay and love the club that’s the best players to have in your squad.”
Firmino scored 11 in all competitions last season and has noticeably declined as a player but still offers a key role in the squad.
He did also manage a PL hattrick away at Watford and five goals in seven Champions League games.
