Liverpool reportedly have their eye on one of the next ‘big stars’ coming out of Brazil.
In recent years, the likes of Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Julian Alvarez have all made the move from South American clubs to Europe.
Now the Reds are targeting Santos’ Marcos Leonardo in what would be a sensational swoop.
The 19-year-old has a release clause of £50M and is a more viable option than Endrick Felipe – a 16-year-old wonderkid being followed by every elite club in Europe.
Liverpool are preparing an offer to bring Santos striker Marcos Leonardo to the club "very soon".

Latest transfer news on Marcos Leonardo
The latest reports tell us that Liverpool are ‘preparing’ a bid for Santos forward Marcos Leonardo.
Bolavip claims the Reds are looking to strengthen their attacking options this summer and could turn to the Brazilian to add depth – as well as secure a potential star for the future.
The 19-year-old is a rising star in Brazil, but the report adds he has a £50.3 million release clause.
For the Reds to spend that much on a 19-year-old would be out of character with their typical spending habits – however, if Jurgen Klopp wants him then Liverpool will find the money for the move.
How good is he?
At 19, he stands as one of the most exciting talents in Brazil right now; a centre-forward with great skill and quality.
He’s played over 100 games for Santos already – scoring 28 and assisting six in an impressive return.
Most of those goals came last season as he bagged 15 goals and five assists in 39 games as he broke out onto the scene.
He also has seven goals in three games for the Brazil U20 and is one of the most exciting forwards in the world.
