Mohamed Salah is in a public spat with Liverpool who are yet to offer him a new contract. He has continued to perform on the pitch but off it, there is a real chance that he could move on from the club at the end of the season.
Liverpool are yet to put a contract offer on Salah’s table, which has annoyed the player. However, the club are insistent that negotiations are still ongoing and a new deal has not been offered as they are nowhere close to reaching an agreement.
Salah wants a three-year deal from the club while Liverpool do not want to get trapped in an expensive contract with an ageing player and are circumspect about ceding to his demands.
The Merseyside giants still want to keep him but with the negotiations dragging, Salah’s management are exploring other options and are holding meetings with prospective suitors.
Barcelona and clubs in Saudi Arabia are keen to offer Salah an exit route next summer and are prepared to offer him a lucrative contract to leave Liverpool.
However, it has been claimed that one more club have been offered the chance to sign Salah and it’s a name Liverpool fans won’t like.
Salah offered to European giants
According to Spanish daily Nacional, Salah’s representatives are shopping him around Europe and a massive club have been offered a chance to sign him.
It has been claimed that the 32-year-old forward has been offered to the reigning European champions Real Madrid.
Real Madrid lost to Liverpool on Wednesday night but they could be signing two of the Reds’ top stars at the end of the season.
Trent Alexander-Arnold has been heavily linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu and now Salah is in their sights.
Can you name the team Liverpool sold these players to?
It has been suggested that Salah’s agents have been in touch with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.
They have had several meetings with Real Madrid who are seriously considering the prospect of getting their hands on Salah.
The 32-year-old is also tempted by the prospect of wearing the Real Madrid shirt and would be keen on the move if he leaves Liverpool in the summer.
