Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk will go down as Liverpool legends, but the club are keen to keep them around for a few more years. They will be out of contract at the end of the season, but negotiations over a new deal are yet to conclude. However, Liverpool are pushing hard to get the deals over the line in the coming days and weeks.
Liverpool are set to face a major disappointment when Trent Alexander-Arnold leaves the club to join Real Madrid on a free transfer in the upcoming transfer window.
Mo Salah and Van Dijk are on the same boat, with regards to their contracts, as Alexander-Arnold, but there has been more confidence that the duo will stay.
However, they are yet to sign the dotted lines, and Liverpool are still in negotiations with their representatives over agreeing on their respective new contracts.

A Mo Salah and Van Dijk contract update from Fabrizio Romano

The duo have been two pillars of Liverpool’s success for the better part of the last decade, and still remain two of their best players in the team.
Liverpool do not want to lose them as they are aware that it would be extraordinarily expensive to find ready-made replacements for either of the two players.
Romano is insistent that there is confidence at Anfield that the duo will stay, and the club are keen to get the deals over the line before Alexander-Arnold’s move to Real Madrid gets confirmed.
“Liverpool maintain their confidence for both Salah and Van Dijk to stay and sign new deals”, Romano told GiveMeSport.
“The club absolutely want to get it done asap, as Trent is getting closer and closer to Real Madrid.”
Salah has again been Liverpool’s top scorer this season, and Van Dijk has been a rock at the back of a probable Premier League-winning team.
