Florian Wirtz is seen as the best attacking midfielder in world football and has been heavily linked with a move away from Bayer Leverkusen this summer.

Manchester City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are interested in signing a player who is valued at as high as £130m ahead of the next window.

Journalist Graham Bailey has told TBR Football that even Liverpool are still in the race for Wirtz despite suggestions that Manchester City are leading the chase.

The Blue side of Manchester sees him as the natural replacement for De Bruyne, who is set to leave the Etihad at the end of the season.

The Reds are not leading the chase, but they remain in the mix for a player who is yet to decide whether he wants to leave Leverkusen this summer.

Wirtz could still sign a new contract and stay put at the German club for one more season.
