Liverpool are expected to invest heavily to revamp their forward line in the summer transfer window. Mo Salah is expected to stay, but the club want to change the rest of the frontline, and the club have their eyes on a player who has been compared with former Red Sadio Mane.
Arne Slot wants to add several new faces to his Liverpool squad in the summer, despite the squad being close to winning the Premier League title this season.
The Liverpool boss wants to overhaul the squad, and is particularly keen on adding new forwards to the squad ahead of the start of the 2025/26 season.
While Salah is likely to stay, the Reds are open to offers for Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota; the club are seeking to sign a Premier League forward who is seen as the spiritual replacement for Mane.

The Reds want to land Premier League forward with ‘Sadio Mane vibes’

Antoine Semenyo is part of an impressive Bournemouth squad who have surprised many this season under manager Andoni Iraola.
He has seven goals and five assists in the Premier League this season, but is seen as a player who is ready to make the step up to a big club in the summer.
Liverpool journalist David Lynch has admitted that the Bournemouth forward is definitely a player who is on Liverpool’s shortlist ahead of the summer.
His age, physical qualities and experience in the Premier League make him an ideal target for the Merseyside giants. Lynch believes signing him would feel like when Liverpool signed Mane in 2016 from Southampton.
“I think he will be liked. I think every player who’s kind of performing as he is in the Premier League”, Lynch told Anfield Index.
“He has got that experience. He’s around that age. He’s got great physical quality and quality of his feet, and there is just an awful lot to like about him.
“So, hearing that he’s kind of someone who’s being linked and they kind of like that doesn’t surprise me at all.
“I think he’s a really good player and I think he’s one of those who’s kind of on the cusp of really exploding and could be a top player for a top club.
“You know, he’s got very much kind of Sadio Mane vibes to me, so, yeah, wouldn’t be surprised at all if he’s on the list.”
If Semenyo is anywhere close to Mane’s level, the Reds should not waste any time in trying to sign him in the summer.
