Liverpool have one more problem to worry about this summer.
Since the January transfer window, clubs have been trying to sign Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil Van Dijk. The trio have played a huge part in the club’s success this season. Trent has returned to form after a down season last year, and Van Dijk continues to play at a high level. Mohamed Salah has been Liverpool’s best player this season and has contributed over 40 goals in the Premier League this season.
Come this summer, all three are out of contract and can leave the club on free transfers. The reds and the fans have known about this since the start of the campaign. Some have complained about the club and asked why they let it come to this. Former Manchester United star Gary Neville criticized Liverpool owners FSG for the contract situations:
“Liverpool are the only club who are allowed to run their players contract down to zero, but they are still doing ok? Three of the best players in the world have got contract running out, but Liverpool are doing a great job managing that? I’m sorry, I can’t accept that.”
Quiz: Can you name the team Liverpool sold these players to?
Saudi club confident of signing Liverpool star

Multiple reports over the last week have linked Trent Alexander-Arnold with a move to Real Madrid. The Spanish side have reportedly agreed to a deal with the defender. Virgil Van Dijk’s future is still up in the air, and the defender recently mentioned that ”no one” knows about his future.
Mohamed Salah is the biggest name that could leave Anfield this summer. The Telegraph are reporting that Al Hilal remain confident the Egyptian will move to the Saudi Premier League. The 32-year old has been linked with a move to the league since January. Salah has not disclosed his future, but it is reported that he will make a decision in the coming months.
The Liverpool star has been vital to the team’s title charge this season. He has been linked with a move away from England, but it has been said that he prefers to remain at the top level playing in Europe’s top five leagues.
