Liverpool continued their run on the weekend as they recorded a big win over Bournemouth. The Cherries had taken points off Arsenal and Manchester City at the Vitality stadium. A brace from Mohamed Salah was enough to seal all three points. Liverpool maintain their six point gap with a game in hand.

With Virgil Van Dijk set for a possible departure, Liverpool are planning for his exit. The reds offered Ibrahima Konate a new long term deal. The French defender has proven himself capable of leading the club’s defence in the future. Liverpool have also been linked with Ajax star Jorrel Hato.

The defender was spotted at Anfield during the club’s Premier League win over Ipswich Town. However, he denied any reports of a possible deal:

”I read it all. But I also know that not everything was right. For my development it’s best that I stay at Ajax now. I was invited by Ryan Gravenberch.

But I didn’t speak to a director there. Liverpool played well and the atmosphere in the stadium was good, but there is no more to say.”

Fichajes report that Real Madrid have joined the race for the youngster.

Hato could be off to Spain

Liverpool will have to fend off the Champions League holders if they want to sign the highly-rated defender. Hato will have the choice of two of the biggest clubs in Europe during the summer. The Reds will be hoping to leverage the Dutch player’s close friendship with Ryan Gravenberch to convince him to join the club.
