Liverpool are still at the top of the English Premier League table despite a slip against Crystal Palace last weekend. The Eagles are the only team that have been able to beat the Reds this season, not just once but twice.
With 15 points in their pocket, Slot and Co. stand two points off second-placed Arsenal. Just before the Palace game, the difference was enormous as Arne Slot was in the ninth cloud.
However, there was evidence of an upcoming stumble as the Reds were only winning matches in the final minutes of the games.
Crystal Palace turned it around as they gave Liverpool a taste of their own medicine when former Gunners striker Eddie Nketiah scored during injury time against the Reds.
Having gone seven games unbeaten across all competitions, the Merseysiders need to pick themselves up again. Despite the recent upset, Opta’s supercomputer has predicted that Liverpool still have the highest chance of winning the Premier League this season.
Supercomputer’s Premier League title prediction

Opta Sports, a well-known sports analytics company based in London, has made its prediction for the Premier League and a few others for the season.
Their supercomputer predicts that Liverpool have the highest probability (46.44%) of winning the title. The Reds are expected to garner an expected 78.69 points.
CIES Football Observatory, a sports research centre, also gave Arne Slot’s side the highest chances (28.9%) of winning the league.
Arsenal came in second in both the predictions, with Opta giving the Gunners a chance of 35.03% and CIES an 18.8% chance. The third place is where both the institutes diverge.
Opta expects Manchester City to have a 9.68% chance, but CIES claims Chelsea has a higher probability of winning the league than Pep Guardiola’s side.
CIES gives Manchester City 14.4% and Chelsea a 16.2% chance. Opta, on the other hand, puts the Blues in the fifth position behind Crystal Palace.

Mikel Arteta and John Terry comment on Arne Slot’s Liverpool
Both Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and Chelsea legend John Terry ended up backing CIES with their predictions. The football personalities believed that Liverpool might end up defending their league title after all.
“I think the title is theirs, to be honest. I think they have a big motivation from the very sad loss of Diogo Jota, which they always have in mind. I really hope Liverpool do it for that reason alone, I think they are the stronger team”, Terry told talkSPORT.
“They are the strongest for sure. They have recruited the two most decisive players who were in the market in Europe, and they did really well to do that. They were very, very strong, and we need to look at ourselves and what we have to do in terms of our abilities to be better than them”, Arteta told the press after the Gunners clashed with Liverpool.
