Liverpool don’t seem to have plans of stopping anytime soon, as the Reds have started planning for the upcoming transfer windows.
This summer, the club spent £440m+ total and broke the British transfer record twice. First, Florian Wirtz joined from Bayer Leverkusen for £116m.
The German was probably the most wanted midfielder in the window, but has had troubles adapting to life on the Isles. He recently commented on the differences between playing in the German Bundesliga and the English Premier League.
Next was Alexander Isak, who cost the club £125m. The Swedish footballer hasn’t been able to show his full potential yet as he served a long break from competitive football at Newcastle United.
His employers weren’t willing to let him go, hence the Swede didn’t play or train with the team, starting pre-season. Now, Arne Slot is slowly getting Isak back into fitness through bigger and bigger exposure.
With the January window inching closer, Liverpool has already started planning for upcoming transfers, and now they are planning to compete for a Greek wonderkid.
Liverpool Greek wonderkid transfer update

According to Transfermarkt, Liverpool are among the clubs eyeing Greek international Konstantinos Karetsas. Born in Belgium, the 17-year-old decided to represent Greece at the senior level.
He is a full youth Belgian international and has already made five appearances for the Ethniki, and he has already scored twice. The teenager started his youth career at Genk and later moved to Anderlecht.
Karetsas returned to Genk in 2023, and he spent a season in their reserves. Since the 2024-25 season, he has been playing for the senior team in the Belgian Pro League.
Liverpool, Newcastle United and Everton are planning a move for Konstantinos in January. His market value stands at around £17.5m according to Transfermarkt.

Reds also focused on Ryan Gravenberch’s contract renewal
Incoming transfers aren’t the only focus for Liverpool right now, as they are also planning to secure contracts for a stable future. Football Insider transfer correspondent Peter O’Rourke revealed that the Reds are seriously looking into tying down Ryan Gravenberch.
“There’ll be confidence from Liverpool that they could tie down Gravenberch to a new deal. He’s been brilliant for them since Slot came in at Anfield, he was instrumental in their Premier League title success last year and arguably has been their best player this season.”
“There’s a willingness for all parties to sit down and thrash out a new deal because Liverpool sees him as one of the first names on the team sheet at Anfield.”
