Jurgen Klopp has "machine" that can get the best out of £63,000 gem

In the past few seasons, Liverpool fans have seen the rise and fall of many talented players and midfield combinations.

Although the Reds' midfield personnel often known for their versatility and adaptability, it seems, this time, Jurgen Klopp may be playing the wrong hand involving Alexis Mac Allister.

The tactician is forcing Mac Allister to adapt to an unnatural position of a no.6 defensive midfielder which has led to blips in performance from the Argentine.

His display against former club Brighton attests to this as he lost the ball twice in midfield. Despite the obvious lack of suitability to a deep midfield role, Mac Allister did register a 93% pass success rate at the Amex Stadium.

He is a natural no.8, destined to shine in a more advanced role, rather than sitting deep stopping counter attacks. The Argentine is the one that should be starting them, feeding his perfect partner Dominik Szoboszlai.

It's time for Klopp to rethink his gaming strategies and get the most out of his £63,000 gem.

Wataru Endo can free Alexis Mac Allister from no.6 role

One potential solution that Klopp should seriously consider is the integration of Wataru Endo into the starting lineup.

In his own words, Endo is a special player:

When asked what the Japan international would add after joining Liverpool, Klopp said: " Experienced player, captain of Stuttgart, captain of Japan, speaks good English, nice fella, family man, machine on the pitch, good footballer on top of that, sensational attitude.

"So, I'm really happy. He's a good footballer, very experienced and loves to work extremely hard."

His passing accuracy, tactical intelligence, and defensive awareness fit like a glove in the Liverpool squad and are precisely what Klopp typically looks for in a defensive midfielder.

Playing Endo as a defensive midfielder would free Mac Allister from the chains of the no.6 role, allowing him to return to his preferred and more advanced no.8 position.

This could significantly uplift the performance and productivity of Mac Allister, bringing out the best in him.

A possible dynamic trio for Liverpool's midfield this season could be Endo, Mac Allister, and Szoboszlai.

Szoboszlai, with his impressive attacking prowess and goal-scoring abilities, would complete the triangle with his forward position - a perfect blend of attack, balance, and defense in the midfield.

Liverpool are investigating signing a specialist no.6

Names like Andre and Joao Palhinha have been floating around lately.

The former, the Brazilian playing for Fluminense, is a player the club seems to be very interested in with it a badly kept secret that scouts from the Merseyside club have been regularly watching the 22-year-old.

Palhinha, however, has been floated as an ideal target by BBC pundit Robbie Savage.
