No barriers – ‘Mohamed Salah replacement’ reacts to Liverpool rumours

This is Anfield

Mohamed Salah is in the final year of his contract at Liverpool and there is no deal between the club and the player over a potential extension at the moment.

The Egyptian winger has been heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia where clubs are ready to make him one of the highest-paid players in the world.

Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with a move for Salah next summer but the Reds are not expecting him to join a Champions League rival.

The attacker also has suitors in the MLS and there is expected to be a real arms race for his signature if the winger becomes a free agent next summer.

Liverpool would prefer to keep the player at Anfield and agree on a new contract but the club are looking at potential replacements across Europe.

Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi has emerged as a real target for the Reds but other players are also on their shortlist of targets.

Why put barriers – Liverpool target reacts to rumours of him replacing Salah

Bologna winger Dan Ndoye is believed to be on Liverpool’s shortlist of names who could replace Salah in their squad if the latter leaves next summer.

The Swiss winger joined Bologna from Basel last year and has established himself as a key player at the Serie A outfit.

Liverpool are keeping tabs on him and the player indicated that he would be keen on a move to Anfield if he gets the opportunity.

Ndoye insisted that he never thinks anything impossible given the way his career has developed and stressed that he does want to get a chance to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Asked about the prospect of replacing Salah at Liverpool, he told Sky Sports Switzerland: “I don’t put any barriers on myself!

“At school, when people told me it was impossible to become a professional footballer, I didn’t listen to anyone. In the end, that’s where I am today.

“Really… I will never put any barriers on myself. I work to play in my position at a world-class club because I know I have the ability.”
