£117,000/week silky star offered to Liverpool - agent trying to maneuver him to Anfield

£117,000/week silky star offered to Liverpool - agent trying to maneuver him to Anfield

Liverpool have been offered Marco Asensio by his agent as Real Madrid look to sell him before the transfer deadline at the end of the month.

The Reds are unlikely to complete any more signings and since they signed Calvin Ramsay from Aberdeen, all signs have pointed to Liverpool ending the summer with just the three new additions.

Jurgen Klopp added Fabio Carvalho, Darwin Nunez and Ramsay to his squad this summer but has been hugely pressured by fans to sign a new midfielder.

It is very clear that Jude Bellingham is Liverpool's ideal midfield target but they are unable to sign him this summer due to Borussia Dortmund's refusal to sell.

Matheus Nunes has been very heavily linked with a move to Anfield but he now looks set to join Wolves.

He previously rejected a contract from the Molineux outfit but with no offers coming from Liverpool or any other Champions League sides, he settled for a move to a smaller Premier League side.

Marco Asensio, according to Mundo Deportivo, has been offered to Liverpool by his agent with Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and AC Milan also offered his services.

The forward earns £117,000 per week which wouldn't be too expensive to add to the current wage bill but he simply isn't what Liverpool need and signing him would be a risk given his faltering form over the last few seasons.

If Liverpool aren't signing a new central midfielder to cope with the mounting injuries, they shouldn't sign anyone at all.

The 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on Monday was a total disaster and highlights the issues that continue to plague Liverpool amid their lack of options in the middle of the park.

While Darwin Nunez turned the game on its head after headbutting Joachim Andersen, they were struggling beforehand - that just made it worse.

Luckily, a world-class goal from Luis Diaz rescued a point.
