La Liga attacker says Liverpool is the only Premier League club he could play for

Luis Suarez has revealed that Liverpool is the only English club he would consider playing for and that it "would be strange" to play for another side.

While the only piece of silverware that Suarez won with Liverpool was the League Cup in 2012, he will forever be remembered as arguably the club's most talented Premier League attacker.

Mohamed Salah has broken record after record for the Reds but Suarez was at a different level during his time at Anfield and had he played 38 games during the 2013/14 season, he'd have broken the single-season record for goals scored.

Even then, he got 31 goals and got 17 assists before he got 25 and 23 on the way to winning La Liga, the Champions League and the Copa Del Rey in his first Barcelona campaign.

The former Ajax star is arguably the greatest centre-forward of his generation and the fact that every fanbase that he hasn't played for despises him speaks volumes about his ability.

Suarez would only ever play for Liverpool

While he angered Liverpool fans with his antics against them in the Champions League in 2019, deep down the Reds have nothing but love for the Uruguayan.

While speaking to World Soccer Magazine, Suarez was asked if he'd return to the Premier League and if he'd consider playing for anyone other than Liverpool.

He replied: “Playing for any team other than Liverpool in England would be hard.

“I had, and hope I still do have, such a good relationship with Liverpool fans that it would be strange for me to play for somebody else.”

Klopp should've signed Suarez last summer

Yes, he's 34 but the striker would have been a great option to have this season and I still think he could do a job for the Reds although I can't imagine Atletico Madrid would let him go.

Barcelona inexplicably allowed him to join Atletico Madrid for just £5.5million and his 21 goals enabled them to beat the Blaugrana to the La Liga title.

Liverpool signed Diogo Jota last summer for £45million and he has been excellent but a clinical centre-forward was something the Anfield outfit missed at times.

Roberto Firmino is a splendid player to watch but he is sometimes guilty of missing easy chances.
