Our view: Liverpool can imminently complete deal for sensational forward by accepting lower bid for 26-year-old

Michael Edwards could sell Divock Origi and sign Adama Traore in one fell swoop after a Turkish reporter claimed that Liverpool have received a bid from Wolves.

He does add that the Reds are 'demanding £20m' but after Michael Edwards came to a compromise last summer over Ki-Jana Hoever and Diogo Jota, a transfer could be on the cards this year.

Reports over the last couple weeks have suggested that high-flyer Adama Traore is a player that Jurgen Klopp wants at Anfield next season.

According to a report from a week ago from the Daily Star, Liverpool are preparing to bid £30million to sign Traore.

Now, with Wolves apparently bidding to sign Origi, it would be prudent for sporting director Michael Edwards to try and use this to sign Traore.

Liverpool's starting XI is very good. Roberto Firmino needs to work on his finishing but if Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are in good form, there's no stopping the Reds, on their day.

With Virgil van Dijk returning to full fitness, Liverpool look set to be a scary prospect once again but if you give Jurgen Klopp the ability to bring Traore, arguably the most terrifying counter attacker in the league, on from the bench it would be even scarier for the Reds' title opponents.

This is the type of deal we have seen Edwards make a reality in the past for Liverpool and I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if it came to fruition.

While Traore was poor last season, he played without both Diogo Jota and Raul Jiminez, who was out with a skull fracture.

The season before, he was incredible and contributed directly to 18 goals in all competitions for Wolves, including 12 assists.

Playing with players like Mo Salah, Sadio Mane, Jota and Firmino would only further increase his ability to contribute in attack.

Of course, he wouldn't be able to play 3834 minutes as he did that season but he'd get the chance to play in the Champions League and would be given a real shot at winning silverware.
