Opinion: Liverpool can complete £31.5million deal for attacker this week
Now that Liverpool's outgoings have gathered pace, we believe that sporting director Michael Edwards can complete a deal for Pedro Neto.
The Portuguese winger is valued at £31.5million by Transfermarkt and his knee injury last season could have harmed Wolves' leverage.
Liverpool are beginning to move players through the exit door and with Xherdan Shaqiri looking likely to join Lazio, another could be on the way.
The Reds could recoup another £15million for his exit as well as free up another non-homegrown slot in the squad.
That would take Liverpool's earnings this summer to around £45million and at that point, with Ibrahima Konate's move to Anfield being funded by the Reds' qualifying for the Champions League, Liverpool would have the funds necessary to make their next move.
Last week, Liverpool enquired about signing Pedro Neto from Wolves, according to 90Min.
It's unclear how much Wolves want for the 21-year-old but Transfermarkt value him at £31.5m and not only do I think is affordable but after successful negotiations for Diogo Jota last summer, I think expedited talks could be held to see Neto signed imminently.
Neto would be a fantastic signing for Liverpool as he has pace, trickery on the ball and an eye for goal but most importantly for FSG, he's very young.
At just 21, Liverpool would be signing a young player with pretty much his entire career ahead of him and this would make it a deal that I think the owners would be prepared to sanction.
