£131M target 'ticks all the boxes' and could be set to lead Liverpool into a new era

Liverpool's £131M star target has been a target for years and, according to reports, the club believes he 'ticks all the boxes' and is perfect for this side.

Jude Bellingham has been heavily linked this summer and continues to be in the discussions for a move away from Borussia Dortmund next summer.

The 19-year-old has starred for the German club for the last two years following his move from Birmingham City in 2020 and he's quickly improved over those two years to become a leading player for a top side in Germany.

With Liverpool chasing the young star into next summer, it's been revealed what the higher-ups at the club think of the young star.

Bellingham 'ticks all the boxes'

According to James Pearce at the Athletic, Bellingham is extremely highly thought of at Liverpool and he's seen as almost the perfect midfielder on the market.

Liverpool’s recruitment staff view Jude Bellingham as the complete box-to-box midfielder. He ticks all the boxes and it’s an area of Klopp’s squad that will be in need of a serious revamp after this season.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita and James Milner all set to be out of contract. Part of the reluctance to commit funds in August was down to the fact that other targets Liverpool wanted, such as Bellingham, simply weren’t available.

Their other star target was Aurélien Tchouaméni of Monaco who opted for Real Madrid, who lived chased for most of the summer to miss out on. It's only added insult to injury with the Frenchman because he's begun the season in such fine form.

When you consider Milner, Keita and Chamberlain are all out of contract next summer, this could be the first summer for over five years where a real upheaval in the squad could take place.

Bellingham could the key for their future and present as Klopp looks to refresh his midfield options and give them fresh energy in the place they need it the most.
