In Numbers: Mohamed Salah's MOTM Performance vs Wolves

Mohamed Salah was the star of the show for Liverpool as they mounted yet another win from a losing position, with the Egyptian setting up three goals.

The Reds were trailing Wolves in the first half but a stellar second half showing takes them to the the top of the Premier League after five games.

Results may change this but Liverpool have made it to the top of the table for the first time this season with 13 points from a possible 15.

Officially, the 31-year-old was only credited with two assists as Harvey Elliott's strike on goal resulted in an own goal so Salah technically didn't have the last touch.

However annoying that may be, Salah was a joy to watch once Jurgen Klopp made his changes after half-time.

Awarded an 8.3/10 for his display, here are all the numbers, that explain his wonderful creative display...

Salah was in a very creative mood against Wolves and while he had little to work with in the way of attacking runs in the first half, once Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez were on the pitch, movement was no longer an issue.

All stats can be found on WhoScored.

74% pass accuracy: The Egyptian rarely records a pass rate that would impress you as, like most forwards in the Premier League, his job is to take as many risks as possible. This is evidenced in the number of key passes he made...

Five key passes and two assists: This is an elite creative metric and just goes to show what Salah is capable of when he has the support needed. As a winger, he often receives the ball far from goal and in the first half, Dominik Szoboszlai seemed to be the only player close enough to link play with.

However, his two (should be three) assists means he now has the joint-most assists (4) in the Premier League this season.

1 shot: While Salah was clearly in a creative mood against Wolves, he didn't do much in the way of his own threat on goal. He had just one shot on target from one attempt all game but given the way the game began, he should still be praised for his ability to create for others.

Salah now has two goals and four assists in five Premier League games this season. His fitness and attacking class will once again prove vital if the Reds are to sustain a challenge for the title.
