Liverpool fans have enjoyed Manchester United’s struggles this season but the Red Devils are now looking for a reset under a new manager for the rest of the campaign.
Manchester United sacked Erik ten Hag earlier this week and they have a deal in place to bring in Sporting Lisbon boss Ruben Amorim as their new manager.
Ruud van Nistelrooy is in interim charge and Amorim is expected to take over the reins during the next international break as part of the deal between the two clubs.
The incoming new Manchester United manager is likely to demand new signings, starting from the winter transfer window, and goalscoring has been an issue at Old Trafford this season.
Amorim is likely to try and sign a striker and Liverpool target Viktor Gyokeres has already been linked with a move to Old Trafford to reunite with the current Sporting Lisbon boss.
However, a Manchester United legend believed the club could find a solution if they are brave enough to carry out a raid on the Liverpool squad.
Manchester United urged to poach star out of Anfield

Dwight Yorke knows a thing or two about strikers and was part of the Manchester United team that won the treble in the 1998/99 season.
The former striker feels the Red Devils need a physical forward up front who won’t be afraid to be nasty and be a real handful for the defenders.
He believes Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez is exactly the kind of striker Manchester United need and believes the Red Devils should try to poach him from Anfield.
Can you name the club Liverpool signed these players from?

Nunez has started just two Premier League games this season but Yorke believes he is the kind of striker Manchester United should gamble on.
“If I could sign anyone to come in at number nine for Manchester United, then I would try and nick Darwin Nunez off Liverpool”, he told SafestCasinoSites.
“He’s got a presence; he’s got something nasty about him and I think he’s a real handful.
“Manchester United need a player who can act as that focal point and give them that presence on the pitch. They need someone with Darwin Nunez’s physical attributes. He’s somebody I would try to poach.
“If I’m looking for a number nine right now, I would take a chance with this guy.”
