Liverpool tipped to sign Bundesliga star

Arne Slot on "dark arts" in football

It is no secret that Liverpool are in the market for forwards and they are looking at several attackers, both wide and central, for the upcoming transfer windows.

While the focus is likely to be on bringing in a central midfielder in the winter window, the club are almost certain to sign forwards at the end of the season.

Darwin Nunez has yet to convince that he would ever become the reliable number 9 that Liverpool thought they were signing in 2022 and Mohamed Salah is not guaranteed to stay at Anfield next season.

With Salah yet to sign a new contract, Liverpool are aware that they will have to find a way to add more goals to their squad in the next two transfer windows.

Omar Marmoush is one of the players who has been consistently linked with a move to Liverpool for the last few months and the club are keen to sign him.

He has been tipped to become better than Mohamed Salah and is seen as a natural successor to the Liverpool star in Egypt.

An update on the Omar Marmoush situation

Eintracht Frankfurt are not expected to entertain offers for the forward who has scored eleven times and registered seven assists in 13 appearances in all competitions this season.

However, he is almost certain to leave the German club next summer when several clubs are expected to be interested in signing him.

Liverpool have been in talks with his representatives and the club are expected to be one of the favourites to sign him at the end of the season.

According to Sky Deutschland, Liverpool are racing ahead in the race to land the forward in the upcoming transfer window.

The Reds have gained an edge in the race and they are now in a good position to secure a deal to sign Marmoush next summer.

Eintracht are almost resigned to losing the forward and are likely to demand somewhere around €60m from his departure.

Marmoush is looking to take the next step in his career at the end of the season and Liverpool seem to be emerging as his dream destination.

It remains to be seen whether he will join Liverpool to play alongside Salah or replace his countryman.
