Manchester United could sign Darwin Nunez

Liverpool are already gearing up for next season. The club has planned major changes to the squad ahead of next season. Multiple reports say the reds have lined up transfer targets ahead of the summer. However, the team still have to deal with expiring contracts. Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil Van Dijk could all leave the club at the end of the season.

The attack is a major concern for Arne Slot heading into the off season. Liverpool will reportedly look to sign new attackers this summer. The club will make Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota available for sale in the upcoming window. Nunez has already gotten interest from Italian clubs, but now the Uruguayan could have a surprise suitor.

Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke has backed his former club to sign Darwin Nunez:

“I would be brave, and take a look at Darwin Nunez, if Liverpool make him available,” Yorke said when asked whether United should consider a move.

“He’s got a little roughness around the edges. United need somebody up there who can be the top man – they’re missing a player who’s got that believe and confidence. Who’s got that swagger to be the main man at Man United.

“I would take a punt on that guy. He’s still 25. He’s got a physical presence not too many people have.

“You’re not going to get [Alexander] Isak. He would look at Man United and might think about it if they come in, but he will want to go to Liverpool or maybe Arsenal, but if Liverpool want you with what’s happening there, it’s an easy choice to make.”
