Man United outraged as £19m French sensation chooses Liverpool

Liverpool have several irons in the fire as sporting director Richard Hughes looks to bring in reinforcements for Arne Slot’s title-winning squad. However, one of their targets has made up his mind to move to Anfield, despite the interest from Manchester United.

Slot is keen to add fresh blood to the Liverpool attack ahead of next season, and the club are looking at several wide forwards and strikers ahead of the summer.

The Merseyside giants are prepared to add young talent to the forward line in the coming weeks and continue the evolution of a team who are still too dependent on an ageing Mo Salah.

Sporting director Hughes has been in talks with several players, but one of those targets is clear about wanting to move to Anfield in the upcoming transfer window.

Name the team Liverpool signed these players from in the 2010s?

French sensation wants Liverpool move despite interest from Manchester United

Rayan Cherki is set to leave Lyon this summer as he only has a year left on his contract, and the French giants are prepared to sell him.

Several Premier League sides want to sign him, including Manchester United, who got firsthand knowledge of his talent in the Europa League quarter-finals.

However, according to GiveMeSport, Cherki has his eyes set on a move to Liverpool in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Reds are interested in him and have had talks with his representatives over a potential transfer to Anfield in the coming weeks.

The Frenchman wants to join the Merseyside giants and is prepared to ignore other offers from the Premier League this summer.

However, Liverpool have not made up their mind about Cherki yet, and are pushing to sign Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz.

The Frenchman will become a serious option if the Reds miss out on the German attacking midfielder.
